Dear SOON(ER) to be traveler,

If you’re getting tired of pasta and pizza at every meal, Kimchi Ristorante Coreano Sushi Fusion is the perfect voucher restaurant for you.

Kimchi is located on one of the side streets but is super easy and quick to get to. They have an outdoor and indoor seating option. The outdoor seating is under a covered patio area, which is ideal for a hot summer night. The indoor seating allows for you to experience the authentic Japanese feel that comes from the beautiful artwork on the walls.

As you enter the restaurant, you are greeted by a wait staff that is super welcoming. The wait staff doesn't speak very good english but is very accommodating with OU students and will use google translate if needed. When arriving at your table, you see the scarlet red place mats and chopsticks awaiting you.

If you are using a voucher, you are able to get any three dishes off the main menu. Their menu is in Italian and can be hard to read, but they will give you another menu that has photos of the dishes if you ask for it.

There are a variety of things on the menu, such as sushi, rice and chicken. My favorite dishes have been fried rice, chicken and vegetable egg rolls and honey mustard chicken.

The fried rice was very tasty. It was a vegetable fried rice, so the vegetables added a nice touch of color against the light brown rice. It was soft and fluffy when chewing. The taste was a very natural flavor that had a hint of sweetness when you got a bite with vegetables. I would rate this dish a nine out of 10.

The chicken and vegetable egg rolls are incredible. The outside of the egg roll is thin and crispy. Inside are small bits of chicken and a variety of vegetables, which blend nicely with the flour based outside. There is a perfect portion of chicken and vegetable that allows you to taste each part of the egg roll without feeling like one part overpowers another. The chicken has slight flavor while the vegetables are more sweet, making for the perfect combination. I would also rate this dish a nine out of 10.

My personal favorite dish from Tokyo Kimchi is honey mustard chicken. The chicken comes on a small black plate and cut into small sections, making it easy to eat with a fork. The honey mustard comes on the side and is a thick white sauce. The chicken is crispy on the outside and has a savory taste. The sweet sauce really brings out the savory flavor of the chicken. The mixture of the sweet and savory make for the perfect mixture. I would rate this dish a 9.5 out of 10.

Kimchi is a favorite among study abroad students and is the perfect spot for a non-italian dinner.

Tokyo Kimchi Rating: 9.25 out of 10
