Meet the Team

Editor-in-Chief
Grace Shoop
Ciao! I'm Grace Shoop and I'm the Editor-in-Chief! I'm a senior Public Relations and Women's & Gender Studies major. A fun fact about me is that I almost went to pastry school instead of traditional college so my favorite part of Italy has been trying all of the desserts here!

Photographer
Ralph Bernhardt
Hello Sooners! I am a photographer majoring in Creative Media Production, with a particular interest in wildlife photography. I’ve been a vegetarian for over 15 years. My favorite restaurant in Arezzo is Officine Gourmet Panini, which makes a great Italiano All'estero! Something that surprised me about Italy versus back home is how cars and motorcycles weave through the narrow streets, with pedestrians walking alongside them on the road.

Copy Editor
Amanda Coleman
Hey! My name is Amanda Coleman and I'm the copy editor! I am a rising senior majoring in advertising with a minor in editing and publishing. Some of my passions include graphic design, reading, and music. I am in love with all the amazing scenery here in Italy and my favorite restaurant in Arezzo is Tortello Divino.

Web Editor
Lauren Jobe
Ciao! My name is Lauren and I am a rising senior majoring in public relations and minoring in digital marketing. I am so excited to be working as the web editor for Borderless Boomer Bites. Studying abroad can feel a little overwhelming at times so our hope is that BBoomer Bites makes adjusting to your home away from home easier. If you’re looking for some good pizza, my favorite place in Arezzo is Miva! If you're missing American food, Crispi’s is the place to go! (Both are on the voucher list!)

Writer
Arabella Blanc
Hi! My name is Arabella Blanc and I am a current senior public relations student. I am beyond excited to be writing for BBoomerBites this summer under the "Culture" section of the home page. My favorite drink is the Aperol Spritz from Logge Vasari in the Piazze Grande. One thing that surprised me was the lower cost of everything in Italy - its made buying clothes, drinks and food pretty dangerous. Ciao... for now!

I’m a writer for Borderless Boomer Bites and you can find my work under the "Guides" section, where I give how-to guides to help you navigate your way around Italy and its culture. My favorite restaurant in Arezzo is Osteria dei Mercanti because they have the best penne pasta. What I love about Italy is its preservation of history and tradition.

Zoie Bates
Ciao! I’m Zoie Bates. I am a senior Advertising major and I am particularly interested in pursuing a career in Art Direction. My favorite restaurant so far has been Tortello Divino. Their pasta and desserts are amazing, and it was one of the first restaurants we discovered here in Arezzo, so it has an element of nostalgia.
